Field Trip FAQ's

1. What paperwork is required for field trip participants? Who is responsible for collecting it?

Please contactRhonda Okon, Dean of Student Affairs for all documentation and submission deadlines: rokon@mitchell.education

2. Are there any additional policies to be aware of regarding international travel?

Yes; students who are planning trips tp Colombia, or anywhere outside of the United States must complete a health and safety training module prior to departure.

3. Who should I contact if an emergency comes up during a field trip?

If an emergency occurs during a field trip, in addition to the immediate medical response and informing the trip leader and/or local authorities, it should also be reported to the Dean of Student Affairs. Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs is essential so that School resources and assistance can be provided to affected individuals. The School also tracks these incidents to understand field hazards and create plans and resources to mitigate future incidents.
